A long time in the making, we set out to create the finest protective skid plate for your MK7, MK7.5, and MK8 VW. We envisioned a product that integrated cleanly with the factory components, offered full coverage for the engine compartment, and was robust enough to live up to its Panzer namesake. We succeeded and we couldn't be more pleased with the result!

Oil changes:
2.0 TDI diesel and 1.4 TSI gas - the oil filter is accessed from below so removal of the plate is required. This is only a 5 minute affair entailing only two more fasteners compared to the stock belly pan. The plate itself only weighs 17lbs.
2.0 and 1.8 TSI gas: An oil extractor such as the Pela 6000 oil extraction device (or similar) may be purchased from oilchangekits.com to allow you to suck all of the used oil out of the dipstick tube. The oil filter is at the top of engine and does not require access from below. You can see that it is very easy to fully eliminate the need to get under the car at all for 2.0/1.8 TSI oil changes!
